Andy Dixon
Bass Guitar & Vocals

Andy, the youngest member in the group, has been playing in bands since around the age of 12.  He comes from a family of musicians, and never had much of a choice but to play music.  In 1998, at the age of 18, Andy was awarded a full paid scholarship to play bass guitar in Campus Country at Northeast Mississippi Community College.  It was in this group that Andy was introduced to Jonathan Singleton, Josh Smith, and William Coats and shortly after formed a band with Jonathan called The Smoking Jackets, which eventually disbanded and reformed as The Grove.  Andy plays a variety of instruments ranging from drums to harmonica, but he excels at playing bass.  Andy has been influenced by many musicians from Billy Sheehan to Victor Wooten, but says his biggest influence over the years has come from his father Gary Dixon.
